Vintage wooden abacus – the charm of the early numbers A small object capable of evoking classrooms of yesterday, the first arithmetic exercises, and the pleasure of learning through simple gestures. This vintage abacus captivates with the warmth of wood and its colorful beads, in tones of red, ochre yellow, brown, and black. The wooden frame encloses ten rows of ten beads, arranged on metal rods: a hundred tiny elements that give life to a neatly arranged and surprisingly decorative composition. The shading of the beads and the patina on the surfaces enhance its lived-in character. Traditional in taste, with an appearance that recalls the educational materials of the mid-twentieth century, it preserves the expressive power of essential objects: wood, color, and a function immediately recognizable. Beautiful to display on a bookshelf or a desk, it is a piece rich in atmosphere for lovers of school objects, vintage educational games, and small curiosities of the past. Dimensions: 20 × 16 cm. Excellent overall condition, with slight signs of time and use that accompany the patina of the wood, as visible in the photographs. A small fragment of memory, with simple and timeless charm.
