Pablo Picasso: The Penguin, 1907”. Authorized silkscreen print. Condition: the work is in excellent condition. Publisher: authorized art publisher. Format: 60 x 50 cm. The high-quality silkscreen print underlines the graphic quality of the motif and gives the work a clear, prominent presence. Picasso's shortened animal depictions belong to the most charming examples of his playful drawing. With a few, precise lines the artist succeeds in capturing movement, character and expression in an impressive manner. The motif “Le pingouin" from 1907 comes from a particularly fascinating early phase of Picasso's creation, in which his experimental formal language had already begun to take shape. Works from this period are considered especially interesting for collectors, because they form the basis for later, stylistically defining developments. The depiction is convincing through its reduced, expressive line work and a direct, lively visual effect. It is precisely the animal depictions from this phase that possess their own character and clearly distinguish themselves from later, heavily abstracted works. Never framed and kept in a dark archival storage between protective acid-free paper. The shown photos are part of the description.
