made of 950°/°° silver, with an engraved decoration featuring friezes of stylised motifs. The lid, which opens on a hinge, is adorned with a landscape scene set within an oval cartouche. Hallmarks: 2nd Rooster, 1st standard; and head of a Greek woman, 1st standard, Paris 1809–1819. Silversmith’s mark: Jean-Baptiste Coquelin (registered in 1805). Height: 2 cm – Width: 8 cm – Depth: 4.5 cm – Weight: 65 g ( shows normal signs of wear and scratches; sold as is).
