Oscar Peterson Fish Decoy

Cadillac, Michigan, USA. 2nd Quarter 20th Century. Oscar Peterson (1887 - 1951). He was a highly recognized folk art fish decoy carver. His works are held in major collections including the Smithsonian American Art Museum and others. Carved open mouth shiner with cut gills and painted metal fins. This is a great example of his work and a prized addition to any collection. Unmarked.
