Toutes les enchères / Art Contemporain / ORA VIENNE (MCMV) - La Harpiste aux yeux clos

ORA VIENNE - Mixed media: print with pigment ink, brush-on varnish applied by hand, for the lasting protection of the artwork. A young woman in profile, facing left, eyes lowered, plays a golden harp that occupies the left edge of the canvas. Her two hands are raised to mid-height of the strings, forearms bare; the instrument’s column is inlaid with cabochons, its soundboard covered with raised scrolls that rest on her shoulder. Her auburn hair, braided into a long plait, falls to her hips. Her peacock-blue dress is speckled with spiral medallions and dark squares. Behind her, a continuous gold background; to the right, a vertical band of small colored rectangles runs from top to bottom. The painting does not show a concert but the moment just before it: the fingers are already on the strings and the sound is restrained. The figure is alone, with no hall or audience, and gold closes the space behind her. Only this downward gaze on a gesture remains. Gold everywhere and the peacock-blue of the dress hold the canvas, the pallor of the skin left white and the auburn of the braid as the only deviations. The gilding is worked in scales and cracks, lightened in places like an ancient wall. The spirals of the dress, the harp’s column, and the background’s scrolls are echoed in relief; these are the areas richest in material; the night blues and burgundies reappear only in small squares, on the dress and in the right-hand band, which adds its turquoise. Mixed technique: print with pigment ink, brush-on varnish applied by hand for the artwork’s lasting protection. Varnish applied by hand, for the depth of the gold and the artwork’s lasting protection. Support: premium canvas stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang. Format: 40 × 60 cm. Signed ORA VIENNA · Galerie Labo Joconde / Atelier Joconde · authenticity certificate provided. ORA VIENNE is one of the creations bringing together artists Le Yack, Neo Pablo and Popsan within Atelier Joconde, a family studio where three sensibilities coexist: neo-realism, pop, and free figuration. The name hints at Vienna's era: the Vienna Secession and Gustav Klimt’s golden age, whose signature reuses the continuous gold background, spirals, checkered small rectangles laid in a band, and the image of a woman detached on the metallic sheet. Under this name, the Atelier paints only a single figure at a time, alone in gold, caught in a suspended gesture — hand on the strings, veil held aloft — wearing a dress whose ornament eventually consumes the fabric. Each canvas rests on an agreement of two colors only: gold everywhere, and a single color in reply, peacock blue or deep violet, with pallor left white. The gilding is never smooth: scales, cracks, bright spots, and wear treat it like an ancient wall, and the spirals are echoed in relief. Each work is a unique piece. Instagram @atelierjoconde.
