Only 1959 g in the World- RUMURUTI Chondrite R3-6

Fantastic piece of rocky meteorite, of the scarce Rumuruti-type meteorite found in the Sahara desert, and recently analyzed and classified under the official name of NWA 13683. It is a complete, very aesthetic specimen, without weathering, in which already on its exterior we can appreciate dozens of chondrules on the surface in the form of small circles, each representing the tiny grains of matter that formed the presolar cloud, before the formation of the planets and the solar system as we know it today. That is why chondrites like this contain the oldest materials we can find in the solar system, with an age estimated at more than 4.550 billion years. For its part, type R meteorites derive their name from the first specimen of this type that was seen fall in the town of Rumuruti (Kenya) in 1934. They form a rare group of chondrites that, although sharing many features with ordinary chondrites such as similar chondrules, few refractory inclusions, or similar chemical composition, differ in that they have a higher proportion of fine-grained matrix, clasts of various lithologies from the parent body, and contain little iron in the form of metallic particles; almost all the metal they contain is oxidized or in the form of sulfides. An excellent opportunity to add this universe wonder to your collection. Quality and size for a great collection.
