This is the steel version, with the case left in its natural color and a finish that alternates polished and brushed surfaces, for a clearer, more classic look compared to the plated versions. The dial is tone-on-tone blue with a sunray finish: light passes through and changes its depth with every movement of the wrist, from bright blue to almost midnight blue. The applied indices are all luminescent, as are the hands, for immediate legibility even underwater and in the dark. The bezel insert is steel, not aluminum: it resists scratches, does not fade, and ages with the case rather than before the case. The dual polished and blasted finish makes it readable in all lighting conditions. From the exhibition caseback you can observe the Japanese automatic movement in action, with the Norton-custom rotor winding with every wrist movement.
