A rare Pink ground enameled rose mandarin gilt teapot featuring a rooster, birds & butterflies among blue rocks & flowers inside cartouches surrounded by scrolls and lotus flowers over a rare pink ground. The lid with more flower designs & its gilt peach-shaped knob. A beautiful & well potted cantonese teapot from the 19th c. with delicate handpainted designs over pink ground presumably for the Nyonya straits / Peranakan market. A rare Pink ground cantonese teapot for a very decorative antique object in excellent condition. Information Art / country: Asian Art, China. Type: Pink ground teapot. Period: Qing period (1644-1911). Dimensions: Height: 9.8 cm. Width: 16 cm. Weight: 0.29 Kg. Materials: gilt & enameled porcelain. Provenance: Private collection, South of France.
