Vintage sterling silver ring by the well-known Danish silversmith Niels Erik From, executed in an elegant Scandinavian modernist design. The ring consists of an open, smoothly formed silver band whose ends curve around the top of the ring. In the center are two round amber cabochons, each with a diameter of about 5 mm. The warm orange- and cognac-toned amber provides a nice contrast to the cool sterling silver. Although the ring construction at the top is open, the ring is offered in its current form and size. Technically the band can be moved slightly, but this also changes the position of the two amber cabochons and thus the original design. The ring is marked with FROM and 925, appropriate to the work of Niels Erik From. The ring is in very good vintage condition. There are only minimal signs of wear and locally light oxidation of the silver. The ring appears to have been worn little.
