Set of 2 vintage lighters with mechanical watches – Barbal 17 Jewels Incabloc & Omnia Swiss Made – 1950s-1960s Beautiful pair of two antique pocket lighters with integrated mechanical watches, dating most likely from the 1950s-1960s. These two original pieces combine the elegance of antique lighters with the ingenuity of mechanical watchmaking, bearing witness to the craftsmanship and design of mid-20th century smoking accessories. Their silvered metal cases, dials, and mechanisms make them interesting objects for collectors of vintage lighters and watches. 1. Barbal watch lighter – 17 jewels – Incabloc (COMPLETE) Elegant antique rectangular lighter, featuring a silvered metal case adorned with decorative vertical stripes. Its front features a round mechanical watch branded Barbal, with a clear dial, arabic numerals and gold hands. The dial bears the inscriptions “Barbal”, “Ancre 17 Rubis”, “Incabloc” and “Antimagnetic”. The watch also has a small seconds dial at 6 o’clock. Watch condition: the mechanism can be wound with the crown. A mechanical noise is perceptible inside when handled and the second hand runs correctly, but the minute/hour hands no longer turn. A watch service is therefore required in order to attempt to restore functionality. The lighter is complete, with all its elements and mechanical components present. 2. Omnia watch lighter – Swiss Made Original antique lighter with a rectangular shape, featuring an elegant chrome-plated metal case and a design reminiscent of a vintage camera. Its front is adorned with horizontal bands and decorative motifs, as well as a round watch integrated into a wide beveled metal bezel. The dial bears the inscriptions “Omnia”, “Antimagnetic” and “Swiss Made”. It shows gold numerals and markers on a light background. The back of the watch notably bears the inscriptions “Steel Back” and “Water Proof”, as well as the reference “10-04”. Watch condition: the watch does not function at the moment. A watch service is necessary, with no guarantee of restoring operation. The lighter is complete, with all its elements and mechanical components present. Overall condition and conservation Both lighters are complete and well preserved considering their age. The cases show a beautiful natural patina, with some superficial scratches, signs of use and small time marks visible in the photos. Both watches are also complete, with their dials, hands and winding crowns present. Their respective functions are described above. A service of both movements is to be expected. The lighter ignition mechanisms have not been tested with fuel. These two pieces constitute an original set for enthusiasts of antique lighters, mechanical watches and vintage accessories. The photographs are an integral part of the description. The removable mechanical elements are present and photographed separately. The lighters have been stored without fuel and without a flint in order to limit the risk of degradation during storage. Plan for installing a flint and refilling before any use.
