Special vintage brooch in 830 silver, originating from the Finnish silver house Ossian Hopea from Porvoo. The brooch features a striking modernist design with an almost mechanical, geometric form. The combination of the smooth teardrop shape and the various disc-shaped elements gives the small piece surprisingly a lot of character. On the back the brooch is clearly stamped with OH, the maker's mark of Ossian Hopea, followed by 830 for the silver content and the locality mark of Porvoo, where the company was based. Ossian Hopea is, among other things, associated with the well-known Finnish designer Saara Hopea-Untracht, who designed jewelry for the family business. For this specific brooch however no designer has been established; therefore the piece is solely attributed to Ossian Hopea. The brooch closes with a simple C-clasp, which functions well.
