Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No Reserve - Pair of Vintage Turkish Silk Hereke Prayer Rugs - Mid-20th Century Size: 3 ft 8 in x 2 ft (1.11 m x 0.6 m) Provenance: Property of a Nashville collector A refined pair of silk Hereke prayer rugs, each organized around an elegant mihrab and enriched with finely rendered floral and architectural details. Their luminous silk surfaces and extraordinarily precise drawing reflect the sophisticated workshop tradition associated with Hereke. The related proportions and complementary designs make them particularly suitable for symmetrical wall display. Offered as a pair without reserve. Condition Request Condition Report Lot #592, both rugs are very good condition. The pile in all of them are full and even, with no visible signs of wear. All ends are original and complete and hand-secured. The sides are securely finished. There are no dryness in their foundation. All rugs are clean and floor-ready.
