Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No Reserve - Collection of Three Vintage Turkish Silk Hereke Pictorial Rugs Size: Provenance: Property of a Nashville collector An unusual group of three silk Hereke pictorial rugs, each conceived as a miniature woven image rather than simply a floor covering. Architectural and figurative subjects are rendered with remarkable precision, demonstrating the ability of highly skilled Hereke weavers to translate complex scenes into silk knot by knot. Pictorial Hereke rugs were created as display pieces and demonstrations of technical virtuosity. Offered together without reserve, these three examples form an engaging miniature collection. Condition Request Condition Report Lot #591 , all three rugs are very good condition. The pile in all of them are full and even, with no visible signs of wear. All ends are original and complete and hand-secured. The sides are securely finished. There are no dryness in their foundation. All rugs are clean and floor-ready.
