Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No Reserve - antique Turkish Silk Kayseri Rug - Early 20th Century Size: 6 ft x 4 ft 1 in (1.82 m x 1.24 m) Provenance: Property of a Nashville collector A finely woven silk Kayseri rug with an elaborate central medallion, delicate floral ornament, and an exceptionally luminous surface. The silk pile catches the light and produces subtle changes in tone, giving the rug a refined and almost three-dimensional personality. Its sophisticated design and highly accessible starting price make it possible to acquire a genuine handwoven silk carpet for far less than many newly manufactured decorative rugs. Offered without reserve. Condition Request Condition Report Lot #589 is in fair condition. The pile is low and even, with scattered areas of visible wear. Both ends are original, complete, and hand-secured. The sides are securely finished. There is no dryness in the foundation. This piece is clean and floor-ready.
