Curated collection of antique, vintage and modern rugs No reserve-Antique Persian Bakhtiari Garden Rug - Circa 1920 Size: 6 ft 2 in x 4 ft 7 in (1.87 m x 1.39 m) Provenance: Property of New York Collector A vibrant Bakhtiari rug organized into a series of geometric compartments containing stylized flowers, trees, and garden imagery. This celebrated garden format recalls the enclosed gardens of Persia, with each panel functioning like an individual cultivated plot. Strong reds, blues, greens, and ivory details give the composition exceptional energy, while its compact dimensions allow the intricate design to be appreciated closely. Condition Request Condition Report Lot #559 is in fair condition. The pile is low and even, with approximately ¼" of pile loss at one end. Both ends are hand-secured, and the sides are securely finished. There is no dryness in the foundation. The rug is clean and floor-ready.
