O RESERVE - ANTIQUE CHINESE GILT IMARI RIBBED TEAPOT W/ LID & SILVER, GOOD CONDITION, KANGXI A lovely Chinese blue and white ribbed teapot with silver mount featuring flower compositions on both sides underneath a ruyi frieze around its shoulder. The lid with more flower designs & blue knob. A well potted teapot from the Kangxi / 18th c. with nice handpainted designs and rich cobalt blue tones. A ribbed Imari shape of teapot for a very decorative antique object from the Kangxi period in great condition. Information Art / country: Asian Art, China. Type: Blue & white teapot. Period: Kangxi period (1662-1722). Dimensions: Height: 10.5 cm. Width: 14.8 cm. Weight: 0.25 Kg. Materials: underglaze blue, gilt & enameled porcelain. Provenance: Private collection, South of France. Condition: After very careful checks under natural & UV light: The knob has been glued, the top spout under the silver mount not checked. Some small kiln flaws under the foot rim and lid. Light wears, some glaze & gilt losses around the shoulder, all commensurate with age & period (please check visuals). In overall GOOD CONDITION and STRICTLY AS PER VISUALS.
