Vintage Nikon, Olympus & Vivitar Photography Equipment – Personal Provenance from Photographer Bill Zygmant , manufactured from approximately 1973 to January 1976. This is particularly interesting from a photographic-history perspective because the Nikkor 200mm f/4 was a well-established professional telephoto design used for press, sports and other forms of long-distance photography. Nikon itself describes the original 200mm f/4 as a lens used extensively for press and sports coverage. The lens shows considerable genuine cosmetic wear from age and use, particularly around the barrel and silver sections. It has clearly lived a working life rather than being preserved as a display piece. 2. The Nikon lens in particular has substantial cosmetic wear, which can be clearly seen in the photographs. The Olympus lens and Vivitar flash also show signs of age and previous use.
