Lubbers was crowned Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro, and placed second at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. She was also listed among the 100 best female artists in the world and acknowledged as Master in Art. Internationally, her work has been shown and planned for exhibitions in New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries. A particularly notable highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. In addition, Nicole presents, together with artist Michael Lam, the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Here Lam’s flowing Single Stroke Painting and Lubbers’ expressive, layered structures meet each other. The color purple forms the connecting thread between two different artistic languages and symbolizes creativity, spirituality and transformation. Nicole Lubbers’ work is more than decoration.
