A catalog devoted to cosmological representations in the Jain tradition, with texts by Armand Neven and Nick Douglas. The volume reproduces and annotates a collection of manuscripts, cosmological diagrams, yantras, and symbolic representations dating from the 15th to the 19th century. Abundant black-and-white and color illustrations, including anthropomorphic representations of the Jain universe, concentric diagrams, and various yantras, such as the Hasthakara Yantra and the Adhaidvipa Yantra. Catalog published on the occasion of an exhibition at the Galerie Jaubert, 75 rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré in Paris. An interesting document on the iconography and religious cosmography of Jain India. Some scuffing and minor marks on the cover; otherwise, a good copy.
