Natural sphalerite rough specimen – Translucent crystal...

This impressive sphalerite rough piece fascinates with its extraordinary transparency and the intense color effect, which comes into spectacular relief especially under lighting. In ordinary light the piece already shows warm honey, amber, and deep orange-brown tones with very glossy crystal facets and a glassy sheen. The natural structure consists of numerous angular crystal facets, reflections and fine inner layers, which give the piece enormous optical depth. Under transmitted light the mineral transforms into a nearly glowing play of colors of intense red, orange and golden fire. The translucent areas act almost like molten lava or liquid amber and create an unusually lively radiance. Through the numerous natural fracture surfaces, countless light reflections and prismatic effects arise, making the piece appear constantly different depending on the viewing angle. Sphalerite is among the most fascinating collector minerals and is known for its high luster as well as its strong refraction. Highly transparent pieces with such intense brilliance and aesthetic structure are particularly sought after and possess a very striking presence in any mineral collection or display cabinet. Traditionally, sphalerite is attributed activating and strengthening energy. It stands symbolically for vitality, focus and inner strength and is often associated with motivation, creativity and energetic balance.
