Natchez, Mississippi. $5 1882 Brown Back. Fr. 469. The First NB. Charter

atchez, Mississippi. $5 1882 Brown Back. Fr. 469. The First NB. Charter #3701. PCGS Banknote Very Fine 20. Offered here is a handsome survivor representative of a bank that organized in 1887. This Series of 1882 $5 Brown Back is nonetheless unrecorded on the paltry population recorded on the First National Bank of Natchez (Charter# 3701) and one of barely more than 20 recorded on Mississippi overall by the National Bank Note Census. Yet bidders would be remiss to overlook the fact that this exact note is arguably the finest of those recorded on this institution that ultimately fell to liquidation in 1895. Here signs of even circulation consistent with the grade assigned can be noticed while lovely penned signatures attributable to Cashier A.G. Campbell and (Vice) President Louis Botto collectively offer a visual impression that's not easily forgotten lending this note another laurel for its proverbial crown bound to appeal to bidders and the collector who specializes in National Bank Notes from Mississippi. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500. Click here for certification details from PCGS Banknote.

Estimation:€802.35
