Myken Norwegian Wood - b. 2026 - 700ml

The Myken Norwegian Wood - Arctic Island Single Malt Whisky - Limited Edition 2026 at a glance Arctic origin: This single malt comes from Myken Destilleri in Norway, where the island setting and harsh coastal climate clearly shape the whisky’s style. Distinct Norwegian character: As an official bottling, it reflects the distillery’s independent approach and its strong regional identity. Wood-driven style: Maturation in Norwegian wood gives this limited edition added depth, bringing spicy and slightly dry nuances to the profile. Cask strength presence: At 61.5% ABV, the whisky shows real intensity while remaining structured and rewarding, especially with a splash of water. Unadulterated expression: Bottled without colouring, it presents an authentic appearance and lets the whisky speak for itself. Portrait: What defines the Myken Norwegian Wood - Arctic Island Single Malt Whisky - Limited Edition 2026 The Myken Norwegian Wood comes from one of Scandinavia’s most unusual distilleries. Set on an isolated island in Norway, Myken Destilleri works in close connection with its surroundings, and that sense of place is central to the whisky’s identity. The result is a spirit that feels coastal, clean and distinctly Nordic, while still carrying the curiosity and individuality one would expect from a young Norwegian single malt. With just three years of maturation, this whisky does not aim for heavy oak influence or broad sweetness. Instead, it leans into clarity, directness and carefully placed accents. The Norwegian wood casks contribute a specific spicy edge and a drier, more textured profile that sets this edition apart from more familiar cask styles. It is a whisky that focuses on structure and origin rather than sheer opulence. The 2026 release, bottled at 61.5% ABV, will appeal to drinkers who appreciate an uncompromising and authentic style. With no added colouring and as an official bottling, it feels open and transparent in its presentation. For anyone interested in Nordic whisky with a clear sense of place, this limited edition offers a compelling and characterful expression. Tasting Notes: How the Myken Norwegian Wood - Arctic Island Single Malt Whisky - Limited Edition 2026 tastes Aroma: Delicate cereal notes meet malt, bright citrus and a touch of vanilla. Herbs and a subtle maritime edge add complexity. Palate: The whisky is powerful yet balanced, combining malty depth, creamy notes and fresh citrus fruit. Pepper and dry herbs provide definition. Finish: The finish is dry, clear and shaped by wood, light salinity and spicy herbs. A gentle vanilla note lingers at the end.
