Murano - Sculpture

Pair of Italian art glass sculptures / Murano – Bird & Dolphin – 1960s/70s Description: I am offering for sale a pair of art glass sculptures, probably of Italian origin, possibly Murano, dating likely from the 1960s–1970s. These sculptures feature unusually original craftsmanship: depending on the orientation, the form evokes a bird or a dolphin. The glass base recalls a wave, with blue and green glass fused into the transparent glass. Dimensions: Height: approximately 35 cm Length on the base: approximately 21 cm Depth: approximately 15 cm Attribution: creator unidentified. No signature or label. I therefore do not present the Murano attribution as certain. Condition: one of the sculptures has a chip/break on the beak. This defect is photographed and must be taken into account when purchasing. A professional restoration could possibly be considered. Original piece in its design and interesting for a collector of Italian art glass of the 20th century.
