The stone exhibits excellent geological authenticity, showcasing rich natural grain variations, swirling inclusions, and structural stone knots running naturally through the body. The Movement: The Shona sculpture movement is globally renowned for its organic, stylized depictions of human forms, spiritual concepts, and nature. Sculptors use heavy, local metamorphic stones like springstone, serpentine, or verdite to create fluid, smooth contours contrasted against raw, carved textures.
