Montblanc - Meisterstück Solitaire Doué Classique - No...

The fountain pen is in good overall condition for its age, preserving intact its great appeal, its distinguished presence, and its full functionality after inspection. The body in precious resin and the silver cap maintain a uniform appearance, with a polished, glossy finish that is very attractive. Micro-scratches, subtle signs of handling, and light signs of use over time are noticeable, normal in a piece that has been enjoyed, with no deep dents, mechanical cracks, or structural deformities. It is worth noting that it retains the emblematic classic and cylindrical design of the Meisterstück Solitaire Doué line. The fittings and decorative details gold-plated (the clip and the cap’s triple ring) are solid, gleaming, and in very good condition. The famous Montblanc white star emblem on the cap crown is perfectly inserted, clean and sharp, acting as a total authenticity guarantee for bidders. The cap closes and fits onto the grip section with a completely smooth and tight threaded action. The hand-made 18-carat solid gold nib / 750 with platinum inlays is in excellent condition, perfectly aligned, free of dried ink residue, and without bending in its wings or in the lower feed. It offers an exceptionally elastic, smooth, and fluid writing experience, guaranteeing a continuous start and stroke at point F (Fine). The interior of the section is pristine and ready to hold cartridges or a standard converter. Overall, this is a high-end German writing instrument, very well preserved, in one of the most attractive and exclusive configurations of the Solitaire Doué range (striated .925 sterling silver and black resin), ideal for daily use or as part of a discerning collection. Care recommendations Nib and feed maintenance: As a high-precision writing instrument, it is recommended to perform periodic cleaning of the internal circuit by filling and draining with warm distilled water each time the ink color is changed or before long storage, ensuring perfect long-term flow. Surface protection: As a precious collectible made from noble materials (solid silver and precious resin), it is strongly advised to avoid storing it loose next to metal objects (such as keys or coins) that could scratch the polished surfaces. Always use individual padded cases or pouches. Exterior cleaning: Clean the resin, the silver cap, and the gold elements using only a soft dry microfiber cloth (never use alcohol, solvents, or abrasive chemical products that could alter the shine or damage the gold plating). Storage: Keep the piece protected from direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat sources (such as radiators) to prevent any alteration of the materials or premature evaporation of the ink in the reservoir. It will be sent in its original case from the special series "Montblanc - The Art of Writing" for perfect protection and maximum security during transport.
