Toutes les enchères / Luminaire / Montblanc - Meisterstück 149 Gold Line - Fountain pen
We present at auction the undisputed flagship of the Hamburg house, the true masterpiece in the history of luxury writing signed Montblanc: the majestic Meisterstück 149 fountain pen. This model, famous for its imposing cigar-shaped dimensions and superb balance, represents an icon of timeless elegance, ideal for those seeking absolute excellence, prestige, and an unparalleled stage presence on their desk. The body and the substantial cap are masterfully crafted in Montblanc's traditional precious black resin, characterized by a deep, flawless luster. The imposing design is enhanced by the classic bright gold-plated finishes, with the distinctive teardrop clip, the triple central ring finely engraved with the brand name, and the unmistakable six-point white star emblem that dominates the majestic cap crown. The beating heart of this extraordinary instrument is the gigantic magnificent two-tone nib in solid gold, finely hand-engraved with the house's traditional motifs and the famous number 4810. The pen is equipped with the historic and efficient piston-filling system, accompanied by the characteristic striped transparent window for convenient and immediate ink-level monitoring. The mechanical components, the feed, and the nib assembly are perfectly clean and intact. The condition of this specimen should be considered excellent overall. The instrument presents a solid structure, a smooth piston mechanism, a splendid resin polish and bright gold plating. In line with our usual and rigorous policy of complete transparency, only microscopic and normal signs of handling are noted, due to extremely careful and respectful use, which in no way compromise the extraordinary beauty or perfect mechanical function of the piece. No personalized engravings are present.
