Toutes les enchères / Luminaire / Montblanc - Meisterstück 149 - Fountain pen
We present at auction a piece of extraordinary historical and collectible significance: a magnificent Montblanc Meisterstück 149 fountain pen, universally recognized as the undisputed queen of writing instruments. This particular specimen represents one of the most sought-after and historic versions of the famous “Pluma,” coveted by major connoisseurs around the world. The body and cap are masterfully crafted in the precious Montblanc black resin, characterized by a deep shine and adorned with elegant gold finishes. The central ring of the cap bears the classic and iconic identification engraving of the model, while at the summit sits the pure white six-point star. The heart of this masterpiece is represented by the extraordinary solid gold two-tone nib (with historic engravings dedicated to the model’s greatness), paired with the traditional and efficient piston-filler mechanism with a transparent window for ink level monitoring. The condition of this specimen is to be considered generally good (a well-used piece). In line with our usual and rigorous policy of total transparency, we note the widespread superficial signs of wear and the wear of time accumulated on the resin and metal parts, testifying to the genuine history of this iconic instrument while maintaining its absolute structural solidity and collectible charm intact.
