Montblanc - Meisterstück 147 (Traveller) - Fountain pen

We are presenting at auction a fascinating and prestigious Montblanc Meisterstück 147 (Traveller) fountain pen, a refined and highly functional variant of the classic LeGrand line, specifically designed for travelers who demand practicality without compromising luxury. The cigar-shaped body and cap are crafted in premium black gloss resin, enhanced by an elegant contrast with gold finishes, including the clip and the three distinctive decorative rings at the base of the cap. At the center of this extraordinary writing instrument sits the imposing two-tone gold nib, finely engraved with the traditional emblems and the number 4810. The model Traveller’s distinctive, ingenious feature is revealed by unscrewing the butt end: the pen is designed to accommodate standard ink cartridges, unveiling an internal metal storage chamber visible in the images with the cap inserted at the back. The cap’s top is crowned by the unmistakable white star emblem. The conservation status of this example is classified as in excellent overall condition, maintaining a splendid shine and full mechanical functionality. In strict compliance with our policy of total transparency and as clearly documented in the detailed photo gallery, only very slight and entirely physiological micro-scratches on the resin and on the gold parts are noted, resulting from careful prior use and in no way compromising the magnificent aesthetics of the object.
