Toutes les enchères / Ethnographie / MOLDAVITE -METEORITE impact- (Czech Republic) 14.5 million years
Authentic moldavite from the Czech Republic. Beautiful form, excellent quality. Moldavites are minerals formed by the fusion of material due to the impact of a large meteorite on the Earth's surface. Moldavites are associated with the impact crater located at Nördlingen Ries (Germany), from which they were expelled until reaching the surroundings of the Vltava River in the Czech Republic (hence the name) and have an formation age of 14.5 million years. They are increasingly scarce, particularly those of a considerable size like the one offered in this lot. Each moldavite piece is different, so each one is exclusive and unique. A safe investment that appreciates in value every day. A fantastic specimen to add to your collection or to use in jewelry making. Moldavites belong to the tektite family (from the Greek tektos, melted); they are natural glass objects formed by the impact of large meteorites on the Earth’s surface. Tektites are the driest-known minerals, with an average water content of 0.005%, which suggests that tektites formed under very high temperatures and pressures (similar to those required to form diamond). We are members of the leading international associations related to meteorites, so we guarantee for life the authenticity of all our meteorites and jewelry made from this material. Shop with confidence. - Members of IMCA with number #7412 (International Meteorite Collectors Association) - Members of GMA with number #G0095 (Global Meteorites Association) - Members of The Meteoritical Society with number #6667 Best regards and warm wishes.
