Mirror - Gilt wood

Imposing antique wall mirror dating roughly to the second half of the 19th century (Napoleon III period / Eclecticism) and the early 20th century, finely carved and gilded in a neo-Baroque taste. It is characterized by a wide shaped frame with incised details in geometric and vegetal motifs, crowned at the top by a rich pierced pediment with volutes and two dragons of great scenic effect. The central mirror preserves its fascinating original patina and the characteristic signs of time, giving the whole piece a strong character and elegance. External frame size: 139 x 88 cm Mirror: 74 x 58 cm The item is presented in good vintage condition, preserving all the charm of its original patina; the frame shows some physiological cracks and minor losses in the decoration, signs of time that confirm its authenticity.
