Milo (1910-1978) - after - Sculpture

A particularly decorative bronze sculpture of a bird, executed after Milo. The sculpture immediately catches the eye with its powerful, almost impressionistic modeling and the richly applied texture in the plumage. The bird is depicted in an alert, stately pose, resting on one leg. The long tail and roughly modeled feathers give the piece a different character from every angle. The whole stands on a sturdy, also sculpturally finished cube-shaped pedestal and is mounted on a dark, polished natural stone base.
