Miguel de Miguel – International Visual Artist* Miguel is a Spanish visual artist who began his career in 1980 and has built a solid and emotionally intense path, recognized worldwide. He has exhibited in cities such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City, and his work is part of some of the most important international collections. He currently lives and creates in Italy. His painting combines figuration and abstraction with a personal language, where vibrant color, symbolic shapes, and deep textures speak of identity, memory, and inner silence. Rostral figures without faces, symbolic natures, and scenes suspended in time form a poetic and sensitive universe. In this work, Miguel de Miguel builds a scene of intimacy and presence through three female figures that seem to arise from the same emotional universe. The bodies, deliberately stripped of concrete features, become spaces open to interpretation, while the absent faces shift individual identity toward a more universal dimension. The contrast between the serenity of the white figures and the intensity of reds, blues, greens, and violets generates a powerful visual tension. The dresses, treated with a gestural and vibrant brushstroke, seem to contain their own energy, as if color were the protagonists’ true language. The composition maintains a delicate balance between figuration and abstraction, between matter and silence. The grayish, irregular, and atmospheric background does not describe a concrete place: it creates a suspended, almost mental space where the figures seem to inhabit a moment out of time.
