Mignonette carriage clock (2) - Steel, Crystal - 2000-2010

Pair of miniature mechanical clocks in a French-inspired style, with glass-fronted cases and a silver finish. Set of two (2) miniature desk clocks, one with a circular case and the other rectangular, inspired by traditional French carriage clocks. Both feature a folding handle, moulded bases and crystal panels that allow viewing the movements from different angles. The circular model combines curved crystals with fluted pillars and a stepped base. The rectangular one presents architectural lines, corner columns and bevelled crystals. Their white dials include Roman numerals, minute markers, and black cut-out hands. Both are powered by a key-wound mechanical movement—escapement and balance wheel—visible through the top crystal. The rear glass doors allow access to the winding mechanisms and time-setting. The key (1) with two ends shown in the photographs is included. Approximate dimensions and weights: — Circular: 7 cm high and 6 cm in diameter. Weight: 385 g. — Rectangular: 8 × 6 × 6 cm. Weight: 500 g. The surfaces retain patina and signs of use visible in the photographs, which are part of the description. The timestamp on the images certifies the current condition of the pieces. Shipping is well protected to prevent transport damage. A tracking number is provided.
