It features an upper eyepiece, a lower objective, a slide stage equipped with two metal clamps, as well as a mechanical system allowing height adjustment and focusing. Its simple and robust construction suits a tool intended for teaching and scientific observation. It shows signs of wear and a patina consistent with its age. Estimated dating: first half of the 20th century, around 1920–1950.
