Mercedes-Benz - 230 SL - 1966

A beautiful, rust-free Mercedes 230 SL from 1966. American edition with manual transmission. We have had the car for 10 years but drive it too little. It drives easily with power steering. All inspections up to date. Viewings and test drives in Broek op Langedijk. Appraisal report (EUR 87,500) available. BODYWORK AND PAINTWORK: The body is tight. The sheet metal aligns well. Good seam lines. No pits or rust or imperfections. The car was repainted some time ago (before we became the owners) and is still in very good condition. With a good shine. No imperfections or filler lines. Doors and engine and trunk lids fit the car perfectly. Chromework looks good. Summer roof still to be mounted. With winter roof. TECHNICAL: The car is 70 years old and shows normal signs of use. All mechanics work properly such as power steering and brakes. The car stays at a good temperature. The radiator was replaced last year. All gauges work properly, up to the light in the glove compartment. The car brakes well and straight. The car tracks well. Tires have sufficient tread depth. No vibrations. The car has always been maintained by a retired mechanic. INTERIOR: shows normal signs of use. It is complete. No tears or holes. See also the photos. Automatic antenna. All instruments and switches work properly. The clock does not work. There are 2 keys with the car. Mats are in good condition and not worn. DOCUMENTS: There is a folder with invoices and previous work. We bought the car with this folder. We added a number of parts ourselves, such as the steering column switch, hinge for the doors, center console, chrome parts including front and rear bumpers, a few chrome trims, rear light surrounds to be rechromed (Samac!). Of course all license papers are complete. No road tax due. No MOT required. PICK-UP: Preferably in Broek op Langedijk. The car can be viewed there on the bridge. Test drive possible. All inspections allowed. Other information: in 5 years we have driven only about 2,000 km. Not enough time to use it properly. The car is stored with other cars in a warehouse and takes up (too) much space. The car has had 2 owners and one of them wants to cash it in.
