Antique Mentor Swiss Pocket Watch – Galonné 800 Silver – Cylinder Remontoir – 8 Jewels – Louis XV Hands – 38mm – Circa 1900 SHORT DESCRIPTION An elegant antique Mentor Swiss pocket watch, dating from approximately 1890–1910, featuring a beautifully decorated 800 silver Galonné case with partial gold plating. Mentor is a historic Swiss watch trademark associated with The Sons of L. Braunschweig / Election in La Chaux-de-Fonds, reflecting the traditional Swiss watchmaking heritage of this period. The finely guilloché caseback features an ornate floral relief and an unengraved monogram shield. The case bears the Swiss capercaillie silver hallmark, the 0.800 silver fineness mark and case number 265380. The beautifully preserved white enamel dial features black Roman numerals, a railway minute track, decorative gold-tone Louis XV hands and a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock. Powered by a traditional Swiss Cylinder Remontoir movement with 8 jewels, featuring crown winding and push-button hand setting.
