Megalodon - Fossil tooth - 14.5 cm - 11 cm

An impressive blue Otodus megalodon tooth from Sukabumi, Indonesia. This is a beautiful large tooth with a strong and robust appearance. The crown has a special natural color combination of beige/cream tones with dark blue-gray and black color patterns. Especially the dark markings in the enamel give the tooth a lot of character and make it very attractive to look at. The serrations are nicely present along both cutting edges and the large, sturdy root fits well with the size of the tooth. There are also several natural details and color variations in the enamel visible, making it a beautiful natural specimen. Noteworthy about this tooth is the natural notch at the top of the crown. This is not a broken piece, but a form of natural wear that occurred during the shark’s life. This gives the tooth extra character and makes the specimen unique.
