MEDIEVAL SILVER-GILT RING WITH ENGRAVED STAR

Ca. AD 1200 - 1400 A silver-gilt ring with a flat-section hoop and an applied rosette bezel formed of four rounded lobes with textured fields. At the centre, a raised square boss supports a cross-shaped panel engraved with an eight-pointed star, the motif repeated in pairs along the shoulders of the hoop.
