Toutes les enchères / Art Contemporain / Mart Signed (XX) - classicism VS anticlassicism
Gallery value: Original Mart Signed stencil works, not prints, are offered through European galleries with approximate asking prices between €3,000 and €4,000, demonstrating the positioning and collector interest reached by the artist's work. Technique: Spray stencil on recovered street materials, selected to preserve the identity and authenticity of the street art language. 120x60 Dimensions: The indicated dimensions refer to the specimen offered and should be considered approximate due to the shape and irregular perimeter of the fragment. Certificate of authenticity: Included and signed by the artist. Broken Wall Broken Wall stems from Mart Signed’s exploration of the relationship between street art, matter, and urban memory. The project brings a fragment of the street language inside homes, galleries, and private collections, transforming a surface marked by time into a contemporary artwork. The wall is not merely the support of the image, but becomes an integral part of the work. Its surface, the cracks, the traces of time, and the natural characteristics of the material preserve the link with the urban context from which street art arises. The fracture thus becomes an element of the artistic language: the boundary between the street and the exhibition space is broken, and the urban fragment finds a new placement. The work The work does not impose a single interpretation, but leaves each observer free to find their own meaning. The stencil is created directly on the support: this is not a print or reproduction. The work depicted in the photographs is exactly the one the collector will receive. Materials and authenticity Materials recovered from the street are chosen to maintain the living connection with the original street art language. Marks, abrasions, surface variations, irregularities and natural imperfections are not defects, but elements belonging to the history of the material and to the artwork’s identity. These characteristics are deliberately preserved and integrated into the creative process. The work is signed, accompanied by the certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, and is delivered ready to hang. The frame is not included, unless otherwise indicated for the specific exemplar. Instagram and project participation The journey of the artwork can continue even after purchase. Collectors can share their work on Instagram by tagging @martsigned and using the hashtag #MartSigned. Works properly tagged may be reposted by the artist through their channels, showing the different destinations reached by the works and creating a direct connection between artist, collector, and audience. Periodically, through social networks, special initiatives, draws or small street art-themed gifts can also be organized. Participation is optional and independent of the purchase of the work. Any methods and conditions are communicated through the artist’s official channels. The artist Mart Signed is an Italian street artist active internationally. His works are part of private collections in numerous countries, and his artistic research develops around the concept “Where Are You Street Art?”: bringing the language and material of the street inside homes, galleries, private collections, and spaces traditionally distant from the urban context. Over the years, Mart Signed has developed international presence through collaborations and relationships with various players in the art world. His research connects street art, urban memory, recovered materials, and space transformation. In 2023, Mart Signed also participated in a documentary dedicated to Banksy and street art culture. Shipping The artwork is shipped via specialized couriers managed by Mail Boxes Etc. Each piece is carefully packed, protected, and insured, with special attention to the more delicate parts and to the irregular shape of the support. Shipping includes full tracking from departure to delivery. In case of a high volume of shipments, preparation and delivery may require a few additional days. For any shipping information you can contact the artist directly via the platform. Edition and uniqueness Broken Wall comprises a limited series of 20 unique works. Each piece is created individually, and no two specimens can be identical. The shape of the support, the crack, the surface, the marks, the imperfections, and the material characteristics naturally vary from one work to another, making each piece unrepeatable. The 20 works share the same artistic project and the same conceptual core, but each maintains its own physical and visual identity. They are therefore not 20 copies or reproductions of the same work, but 20 unique and different pieces, all belonging to the Broken Wall series. Each work is identified by a specific code listed on the certificate of authenticity.
