Mart Signed - TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING

The Mart Signed Museum Technique: Spray stencil and mixed media on recovered materials, thus ensuring the originality of street art Dimensions: About 60 × 60 cm (approximate measurements, due to the irregular shape of the wall fragment). Edition: Unique edition. Certificate of authenticity: Included and signed by the artist. The Mart Signed Museum For years the project Where Are You Street Art? has traced the journey of street art through authentic fragments of urban walls, symbolically bringing the street inside homes, galleries and private collections. With this new series comes The Mart Signed Museum, a natural evolution of my artistic research. I asked myself what happens to a piece when it finds its definitive placement. A museum protects it, preserves it and hands it to the future, but at the same time it restrains it. It can remain hanging on the same wall for decades, observed by millions of people, without being able to continue its journey. From this reflection arose the idea of a museum in which some works symbolically choose to escape. Each work appears as a fragment torn directly from the museum wall. Not only the artwork is taken away, but also a part of the wall that housed it, transforming the museum itself into an integral part of the artwork. Each collector does not simply buy a painting, but an authentic fragment of The Mart Signed Museum, becoming the next stop on their journey. The work The damask wall, the frame, the museum label and the sign are not simple decorative elements, but are part of the artwork itself. The sign invites reflection on a society increasingly accustomed to photographing every moment. Some moments, however, deserve to be lived first. Materials and authenticity The natural imperfections, marks and dents of the materials are not defects, but an integral part of the artwork. They tell their story and contribute to making each piece unique. The work is delivered ready to hang and is accompanied by the certificate of authenticity signed by the artist. The artist Mart Signed is an Italian street artist active internationally. His works are part of private collections in numerous countries, and his artistic research focuses on the dialogue between street art, urban memory, and museum space, transforming fragments of the city into collectible works. Shipping The work is shipped via specialized couriers managed by Mail Boxes Etc., carefully packaged, insured, and equipped with full tracking. In the case of a high volume of shipments, delivery may require a few additional days. For any information you can contact the artist directly through the platform.
