Autographed postcard signed by Marguerite Yourcenar, addressed to the Marquis d'Arcangues, dated March 29, 1958 by the postmark. Written in brown ink on a postcard of the Basilica of St. Cecilia by the Flemish painter Paul Bril. In this letter addressed to the Marquis d'Arcangues, Marguerite Yourcenar warmly thanks her literary correspondent for his praises of her work and rejoices at reading his, which awaits her at home, upon her return from Italy. "Sir, I thank you for your so warm appreciation of my work, and I shall have pleasure in [reading] yours which awaits me at home upon my return from Italy. Thank you again, and my very friendly and cordial regards, " Dimensions: 14.7 x 10.5 cm Condition: Presence of strong humidity stains on the edges, a reddish stain on the lower margin of the front, and a clearly visible vertical crease on the right side of the image on the front.
