A striped curtain frames the view. The flowering balcony above the sea is a subject Marcel Cramoysan (1915–2007) painted on the Norman and Mediterranean coasts alike, combining the two things he loved most — flowers and the light over water. The canvas carries the stamp of the Paris colourman L’Atelier des Arts and is titled and signed by the artist on the reverse. Signed ‘Cramoysan’ at the lower right.
