Extremely rare invitation card for the vernissage of the Marc CHAGALL exhibition, at Galerie Maeght, Paris in 1954. Lithographed by Mourlot. This lithograph was created especially as an invitation card for the historical exhibition “Paris” organized at the famous Galerie Maeght in 1954. It features the artist's stylized self-portrait, holding his brushes facing his easel on which rises the profile of the Eiffel Tower. The handwritten inscription on the plate at the top left explicitly reads “Marc Chagall, Paris 1954.” This rare period document was printed on the presses of Mourlot Frères in Paris. Original central crease. Dimensions 18.5 × 13.8 cm.
