Mara. J XL - Citrine Nightfall

On a violet background that grows deeper toward the bottom, a dense pattern of golden leaves rises and thickens in the upper part of the canvas, like a mane lit by the last light. The botanical imprints overlap in layers, some full and sharp, others barely suggested, until they melt into the color of the background. Slender green stems traverse the composition and mark its vertical rhythm. The material is granular and stratified, built up by accumulation, and lets the violet surface between one imprint and another. The transition from shadow to gold gives the work a calm, luminous breath, the moment when evening still holds the warmth of the day. Mara J. explores the beauty and intensity of nature and the human body, creating works that tell emotions and states of mind through light and form. Her landscapes evoke fluid, suspended atmospheres, where color and brightness shape space, while human figures, delicate and introspective, become a means of emotional expression. Each painting is an invitation to immerse oneself in a world of subtle sensations, where nature and the human being intertwine in a profound dialogue.
