Field Marshal Rommel had received from Hitler the mission to defend the Atlantic coasts against a possible invasion. Although he was aware that this mission was almost impossible, he did everything possible to strengthen the existing fortifications. Thus, for example, one can find original anti-tank grids from Belgian forts on the Normandy beaches, or battleship turrets on the coasts of Norway. But resources, as well as the time to complete them, were lacking. Here, an observation bunker whose access is concealed beneath camouflage netting. Accompanied by an entire staff, his visits often served as propaganda. Also, a team of cameramen is preparing to film the event. The Mercedes 320 was often used as a staff car in the German army and the SS.
