Manuel José (XX) - Real de la Feria de Sevilla

The vibrant body of work by Manuel José shows one of the author’s specialties: Andalusian, bullfighting, and flamenco scenes. The impressionist development he embraced from his self-taught training reveals his mastery of drawing, which bursts impetuously into color for the sake of the movement of the figures that constantly fill his paintings. Born in 1931, his career developed between Madrid and Andalusia from the 1950s to the 1980s.
