An elegant and majestic French mantel clock (*pendule de cheminée*), crafted in the exquisite Historicist style of the Napoleon III era and dating to the second half of the 19th century. Sculpture: The clock is crowned by a large, masterfully executed figure of a young woman clad in flowing classical drapery. The statue is made of patinated metal (*spelter* or *régule*) and finished with a rich, dark-brown patina. The composition demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship, evident in the delicate rendering of the dress's folds, the expressive pose, and the meticulous detailing of the hairstyle and facial features.
