Majestic Amethyst Geode with Snow-White Quartz Crystal...

We present to you a geological masterpiece from Brazil: a monumental section of Amethyst geode, weighing over 8.8 kg, distinguished by the rare and spectacular secondary growth of clear Quartz crystals. This specimen is not just a mineral, but a true natural sculpture destined to become the focal point of any collection or setting. The piece's form is extraordinarily dramatic. The basalt matrix has been cut to reveal a deep arcuate cavity, giving the specimen a dynamic and elegant appearance. This unique conformation maximizes the exposure of the crystal surface, allowing light to penetrate and dance among the innumerable tips. The main bed is composed of thousands of amethyst crystals of a deep, saturated violet. Their brilliance is exceptional, and every single crystal, with its perfect terminations, contributes to a sparkling surface that catches the eye. The deep violet hue evokes a sense of luxury and mystery, typical of the finest Brazilian amethysts. What makes this specimen exceptionally rare and desirable are the magnificent “flowers” of colorless quartz (rock crystal) blooming on the surface of the amethyst. These clusters of white-transparent quartz create a breathtaking color contrast with the violet beneath. The quartz crystals are sharp, well-formed, and of remarkable purity, appearing as crystal islands floating on a violet sea. This dual crystallization tells a fascinating geological story: after the formation of the amethyst, a change in the hydrothermal solution conditions allowed the deposition of this splendid pure quartz, an event not common that adds notable scientific and collecting value to the piece. With its imposing size and unparalleled beauty, this specimen is ideal for display as a central piece in a hall, a professional studio, or a private gallery. It is a work of art created by the Earth, an investment in beauty and rarity that will continue to fascinate for generations.
