The Tricolor is the symbol of Italy in the world and represents national pride: the Red symbolizes blood, the suffering of all the people who pursued the dream of liberty and fought for the unification of Italy; the White represents Italian Catholics' faith and symbolizes the Alps with their great glaciers; the Green is the hope of a free and united Italy, a desire of many Italians who lost their lives to pursue this deep value, and it is also the green of the Mediterranean scrub, the typical landscape of our country.
