Magnificent Diamond Bracelet in Silver on Gold, St. Petersburg, 1927

It is not only in Vienna, Paris, and London that exquisite jewellery in line with international trends has been created since time immemorial: Wonderful treasures were also crafted in centers further east, whether in Odessa, Moscow, or St. Petersburg. This bracelet takes us back to the year 1927 in St. Petersburg, then known as Leningrad. The gold bracelet, featuring a silver front, is designed in forms that embody the cool, elegant style of international Art Deco. The centerpiece elegantly emerges from the narrow link bracelet; the shape widens and holds, at its center, a particularly beautiful Old European-cut diamond, accompanied by thirty diamonds in historical cuts. The hallmark sequence on the clasp clearly dates the bracelet to 1927—the design and materials confirm this date in every respect. This exquisite piece of jewellery came to us from Frankfurt am Main.
